On Saturday, April 30, 2011, motorcycle riders from all over the world will fire up their bikes to support the families of fallen and wounded special operations personnel. The goal is simple: Set a world record for the most motorcycle riders to participate in a single event on a single day – World Wide Ride for the Warrior Foundation – and raise awareness and funds for the SOWF.

Bo McCormick, a long-time supporter of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and host of an annual fundraising event for SOWF, is organizing the World Wide Ride. This is the seventh year McCormick and the Special Forces Motorcycle Club will host their event in Fort Myers, Fla.

“I know there are other motorcycle groups that would like to ride for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation,” said McCormick. “So, why not set one day where every motorcycle on the road is riding to pay tribute to fallen and wounded special operations personnel?”

If you would like to organize a ride in your area or see if your area already has a group started, please contact Bo McCormick at specialforcesmc@yahoo.com.

The length of the ride would be determined by your local group.

A one-of-a-kind World Wide Ride for the Warrior Foundation t-shirt is being created, which will be included in the ride registration fee.
